Compassion
Jamie believes every birthing woman should have a hand to hold during labor and delivery. Likewise, Jamie believes every woman who experiences birth deserves to do so in a dignified and integral manner, regardless of her background or life circumstances. Above all, Jamie believes every baby should and can be born surrounded by love and given the ability to thrive from the start and throughout childhood.
Jamie received a graduate degree in Art Therapy from Drexel University in 2004 and is a licensed professional counselor as well as a registered art therapist. She worked within the social service system for over fourteen years and has specialized in therapeutic intervention for children, adolescents and families affected by trauma and loss, as a result of abuse, violence, sudden accidental events or the passing of loved ones. Her clinical efforts have also focused on providing strategic psycho-educational training and support in the areas of pre-natal, post-partum and early childhood health for families with limited resources at hand. She has worked with a variety of social service resources to help establish and maintain long-term health and support for children and their families. For a number of years now, Jamie has been actively involved in local and international social justice initiatives that advocate for and ensure the pursuit and protection of fundamental human rights, specifically for women and children. Below are a few of the organizations and efforts that Jamie supports through public service, financial contribution and with whom she is privileged to have personal as well as professional connections

maintain a mindset of life’s inherently infinite potential and worth.
“My Beautiful Vision” is a faith based theist perspective that explores (through words and art) a variety of life experiences that, at the very least, ask the questions what, how and why life matters. Feel free to take a look and consider for yourself.
