Picture

 The role of Jamie’s postpartum
 support includes:

  • offering education, companionship and nonjudgmental support during the postpartum fourth trimester
  • assisting with newborn care, family adjustment, meal preparation and light household tidying
  • providing evidence-based information on infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, infant soothing and coping skills for new parents and makes appropriate referrals when necessary
Due to the unprecedented dynamics caused by COVID–19, Jamie may need to offer modified services (i.e. regarding services detailed above). Modifications include unlimited video, phone and text support during pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum stages. All current services are being provided according to public health mandates and hospital restriction policies. The modified services may be adjusted per the general community restrictions being lifted, in which case standard services and fees can apply. It is important to note the fluidity of these services based upon continued changes in public health and hospital policies surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic effect. Contact Jamie for more information and adjusted or standard fee structure.

Testimonies from former clients

Working with Jamie was fantastic! She put me and my husband right at ease and was a comforting presence through the pregnancy, labor, surprise c-section, and as a post-partum doula afterwards. She always respected our preferences and helped us articulate our own parenting philosophy and desires. Seeing Jamie with my son during those first few weeks was really wonderful--she was exceptionally warm and loving with him--singing to him and comforting him. I was able to relax knowing that he was receiving really excellent and tender care. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

Jamie came to our family on recommendation of our doula. Jamie worked with us for the six weeks following our son's birth and as we were preparing to move across the country. Our little guy wasn't a great sleeper, so we hired Jamie to do one overnight with us a week. This support provided us with some wonderful respite from the sleepless nights. Jamie also provided daytime help, taking care of our son so that we could work or prepare for our move. She was always happy to help out around the house while our son was sleeping. Our baby was delighted with Jamie—whether she was singing him songs, taking him on walks, or putting him back down at night, she always treated him with great care.

We hired Jamie for night time help with my newborn when I came to visit my parents in Philadelphia. Jamie was great and gave me such good tips to get my daughter to sleep better. Then a few months later, we moved to Philadelphia and we hired Jamie again for some daytime help, and again it was great to see her be so affectionate and caring with my daughter. I also liked Jamie’s strategic developmental approach to playing with infants. I strongly recommend hiring Jamie.
